Teddy Lala Ramaroson, Program Finance Manager
Teddy joined AIMS in January 2017 as a Program Finance Manager under the Program and Grants Management team. Before joining the AIMS Network, Teddy worked for several International NGOs in Africa, mainly in Madagascar and in Gabon.
Teddy brings his expertise in budgeting and financial reporting through all the network with his 20 years of experience in funds and grants management for International NGOs supporting Africa.
He is dedicated to capacity building in Finance and Administration. Teddy has a passion for table tennis and was the national champion of Gabon in 2014.
David Kribs, International Academic Advisor
Dr. David Kribs received a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, and was awarded a Canadian NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, holding positions in the USA, UK, and Canada, prior to beginning a position as Professor at the University of Guelph.
David currently holds the University Research Chair in Quantum Information at Guelph, and has a research record that includes over 70 peer-reviewed publications, appearing in top pure mathematics, mathematical physics, and physics journals. His external research funding has included an NSERC Discovery Accelerator Supplement and an Ontario Early Researcher Award.
David’s academic governance and service activity experience have included terms served as Chair and Associate Chair of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Guelph; conference, workshop, and thematic program organization; and chairing the Ontario Early Researcher Award Evaluation Panel.
Recently David has taken on the role of International Academic Advisor for the AIMS network, which will include acting as Chair of the AIMS Academic Council; providing research experience and expertise to assist with the development of the AIMS network research profile; and providing leadership for the One For Many program.
Peter Szyszlo, Senior Program Coordinator
Dr. Peter Szyszlo holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa’s School of International Development and Global Studies.
A seasoned academic and practitioner, Dr. Szyszlo previously held senior advisor positions at the University of Ottawa’s International Office and the Ottawa-Shanghai Joint School of Medicine. In addition, his portfolio included the development of strategic initiatives and research on new and emerging developments in global higher education.
Dr. Szyszlo currently services on the editorial board of the Scientific African journal and the Journal of International and Comparative Higher Education. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Beyond COVID-19 Global Open Innovation Challenge.
